I’m currently working on compiling a collection of original tracks that all fall into the half-time, electro, dance category. I don’t know if there’s an official label for this particular style of music, but I can identify the track “Do The Astral Plane” by Flying Lotus as a source of inspiration for this sound. I have heard some people call it “half-hop”, “dance-hop”, and sorts of other weird names but I’ll just simply label it as “electro”.
The track featured on this post is actually something I’ve been working on all morning. Although it’s still untitled and unfinished, I felt an urge to share it with you so you can get a feel for what I’m doing and where I’m going with my sounds. I hope you like what I have in store for this summer.
